Whenever I’m in the mood to feel ladylike and demure, I pull out a midi skirt and play around with it until I have an outfit that feels a little fresh and a little retro. When I start saying things like, “Oh dear!” and “Hello-o-o DAH-ling…” I know I’ve got a winning combo. lol.
This time, I chose a soft watercolored top with a draped neckline…added a belt, a string of pearls and some closed-toe pumps, and I was ready for my lunch date at 311 W Wacker (the only building in the world known only by its address). This building has an amazing airy atrium with marble columns, palm trees, and an impressive fountain!
Watercolored me!! 🙂
What do you wear when you want to feel like a lady??

Drumroll please…say hello to my new blog series: the “Curvy Copycat!” In this series, I will attempt to recreate fashion magazine ads with plus-size clothes and plus-size bodies. 🙂
Now…the first post in the series is a huge departure from my normal style. When I saw this Diesel ad campaign, I thought it looked cool and tough and a little bizarre. But since I’m up for a challenge, I took it on. So, here’s the original ad:
Of course, I can’t recreate this exactly, but I tried to capture the flavor of the ad–all rocker tomboy-ish. How’d I do??
