I LOVE getting dressed up in fancy dresses and wearing my high, super sparkly (and impractical) heels…but the reality is…I have a day job and can’t wear most of my fun and flirty outfits to the office. Most days, I have to look professional and put my #girlboss chops to work. Anyone who has ever worked in an office knows that it’s easy to get stuck in a workwear wardrobe rut. That’s why I make a point to reinterpret classic combos in fresh ways.

For instance, the classic sweater and pencil skirt combo has been rocked at the office by women of all ages and sizes for decades. Many women tend to reach for solid colored bottoms and printed tops…but what if you reversed that?? I put a twist on the classic sweater and pencil skirt look by wearing this bright solid red sweater and pairing it with a leopard print pencil skirt — both from Lane Bryant. So fresh…a little edgy…but also professional and chic!

Falling for Fringe In This Red Fringe Skirt from Lane Bryant

I totally had a plus size fan girl moment when I saw an ad for a red fringe skirt from Lane Bryant. Everything about the picture had me swooning! The flirty fringe, bold red color and sexy black boots…I knew I had to have this outfit from Lane Bryant! Normally, I take inspiration from the ads and pictures I see and make it my own…but I really couldn’t see improving on this…so, I bought the whole thing!

I love this Double V sweater in this bright red…so bold and fresh! I’ll be wearing it in another post later this week, so keep an eye out. And have I mentioned these Over the Knee Boots? They are wide calf, so they are perfectly suited to us plus size gals! And these are made of real leather and have a great mid-height heel that you can actually walk it. If you’re wanting to splurge on a great pair of boots this season, I would absolutely recommend these!
