I feel like a gold goddess in this incredible toga-like dress from Lane Bryant. Full disclosure: this dress is no longer available at Lane Bryant because I’m SO late in posting it! I bought it this summer and I’m pretty sure it sold out in like 2 minutes. But I loved these photos and decided to post it just because!

I know this dress can look a little alarming on the rack — in fact, it didn’t look like much at all — kind of shapeless and weird. But when I tried it on, I absolutely fell in love. The one-shoulder design with the beautiful draping on one side of the dress works some sort of magic. It’s flattering, but it shouldn’t be at all! I love the midi length of the dress too — it hits at the perfect spot to make your ankles look so small!

And can we talk about this amazing color? It’s between a goldenrod yellow and a fabulous fresh orange. It’s just so striking and bright. I wore turquoise jewelry and heels for another bright pop of color.

This dress is actually very similar to a black version that I got from City Chic a few years ago. I remember being shocked when I tried that one on, which is probably why I knew I had to have this bright fabulous version of it!
