Mother’s Day Makeover Event Honors 150 Mothers in Chicago

A Better Day with Julie, the Daisie Foundation, Dress for Success, and other nonprofit organizations are joining forces to honor 150 mothers in Chicago with the makeover of their dreams. It’s a powerful collaboration to support these inspiring women, and it’s all happening on Monday, May 8, 2017 leading up to Mother’s Day at Chez Chicago.

Pre-Derby Hat & Tea Luncheon and Fashion Show Fundraiser on April 29

The Mother’s Day Initiative kicks off on April 29 with the Pre-Derby Hat & Tea Luncheon which will be held from 12:00-2:30pm at Chez Chicago. Tickets are only $50, and they are limited, so buy them now! The Luncheon will be hosted by Michelle Relerford, Weekend Anchor for NBC 5 Chicago News and will include keynote speakers: Stacey Flowers, TEDx Talks Speaker and founder of The Happy Conference; Katy Lynch, CEO of Techweek; Jeannine Turner, MD, Cardiologist at Cardiac Wellness Consultants, SC and National Speaker for Go Red for Women; and Bela Gandhi, Founder and President of Smart Dating Academy, also seen on Steve Harvey Show, NBC Today Show, and Good Morning America. It will also include a spring fashion show hosted by Lourdes Duarte, WGN Anchor. And OMG you guys….I’ll be walking in the fashion show!

Julie Hightower – This lady is a powerhouse! Not only does she host her own beauty and fashion web program, A Better Day With Julie, she is involved with so many philanthropic and charitable events and causes in the city.
