If you haven’t tried Gwynnie Bee yet, what are you waiting for!? It’s literally the best innovation in the plus size clothing industry in decades. I’ve been a huge fan for ages, and they just keep getting better and better! Some of my favorite designers are now even creating exclusive collections for Gwynnie Bee – My recent favorite is the Rachel Antonoff collection! Gwynnie Bee makes it possible for me to have unlimited access to new dresses and still be able to live in a small apartment. If you’re interested, you can sign up for a Free 30-day trial to try out the service. To give you an idea of the types of items I have in my closet, here are 3 of my most recent Gwynnie Bee finds!

1. Effie’s Heart – Sight seeing Dress in Moma Print

This adorable dress has a paint splatter print and is one of the easiest dresses to wear! I love the cutout on the back — that still covers your bra strap! I wore this dress when I went on a roadtrip to Badlands National Park. After the trip, I popped it back in the Gwynnie Bee bag and sent it back. Easy peasy!

2. Rachel Antonoff – Reiss Dress in Bauhaus Print

As soon as I saw this dress on the Gwynnie Bee site, I knew I had to get it! The colors! The print! The ruffle cap sleeve! This dress is from the Rachel Antonoff collection that Gwynnie Bee exclusively offers. This dress was perfect for a lovely summer afternoon outing at the world famous Tempel Lippizans Horse Farm.

3. Julia Jordan – Honeycomb Knit Dress in Dusty Pink

This color of this plus size dress is such a delicate, gorgeous pink! And the seaming was magical – giving the dress structure and letting it flare from the hips. It was the perfect dress to wear to my niece’s baby shower earlier this month – the dress code was shades of pink!

How does Gwynnie Bee Work?

Gwynnie Bee is like Netflix used to be (you know, when there were actually DVDs!), but for plus size fashion! Once you sign up for an account and choose the number of items you’d like to have out at a time, you can browse hundreds of beautiful items from some truly great plus size labels, add the pieces you want to try to your cart, and voila! You’ll start receiving the clothes in the mail. Once you’ve worn the item and are ready to send it back, just pop it into one of the prepaid envelopes and drop it in the mail! Or, if you love it, buy it! You have the option to buy any of your at-home items.

The concept is “clothing without commitment” and that is an amazingly fresh idea for curvy gals for two big reasons. First, so many of plussize clothing retailers are only online, and with the variations in sizing, it can be a hassle to purchase something and return it because it doesn’t fit. The other big reason is that when we–as shoppers–make purchases, we usually stick to the shapes, styles and colors that we’re comfortable with, and rarely take a chance on something bold and trendy. Gwynnie Bee solves both of those issues with this “subscription” service. For a monthly fee, you get to take chances with your style…and even if it doesn’t work out…you’re not forced to leave it in your closet month after month–just pop it back into a pre-paid mailer and send it back.
