My Gwynnie Bee closet delivers once again! I was looking for an easy, comfortable dress that I could throw on and still look like a million bucks, and I found this Soprano Cap Sleeve Pleated Dress (GB girls find it here) and put it in my closet immediately. The shape is perfect for curvy girls, nipping you in at the waist and accentuating the bust. The midnight blue color is beautiful on many different skin tones….and the pleated skirt skims perfectly over the hips and thighs. The deep v-neck is oh-so-sexy, but can also be played down with a cami or tank for more modest events. I went full-on glam, pairing this with my vintage fur capelet and some sparkly, completely impractical shoes.

Around the holidays, I get a craving for classic looks and timeless silhouettes… And what can be more classic than cashmere?? This Jessica London Cotton Cashmere Sweater in a bright raspberry is just what the holiday season ordered. The high boatneck is modest and classy, the bright color adds a little sass, and the tunic length lends this sweater some versatility…and did I mention it is cashmere?!

This sweater was just screaming to be paired with a pencil skirt…I could have tucked it and gone for more of a pin-up look, but I chose to cinch it with a belt to still enhance the hourglass shape, but maintain the classic lines.
If you have a cashmere sweater hiding in the back of your closet, bring it out, throw on a pencil skirt and take your sassy self to the office. Hope you’re all having a wonderful holiday season so far!

Aren’t these trees gorgeous? Fall is over in an instant here in Chicago, but it’s breathtaking in the moment.

LOVE this print! This is a classic sleeveless v-neck dress with a banded waistline and tie belt. The ikat print is bold, without being too in your face…and the navy piping and details add structure and visual interest. All of that to say…it’s ADORABLE.

I grabbed this dress from Bloomingdales when I hosted a plussize event for them in October…and it was my birthday party dress too! Now that we’re headed into party season, it’s going to get a workout.
Sexy and totally modest with its high neckline and knee-length hem. I roughed it up a bit with this INC faux leather moto jacket in a cool blue-gray.
And searched the amazing Bloomingdales shoe department to find these studded gray suede Michael Kors pumps. They’re high, but they’re gorgeous!!
