Fall is SO LATE in coming to Chicago! It’s like the 5th straight day of 90 degree temps and I wouldn’t be sad about that except I have a closet full of fall clothes calling my name! Happily, one of those outfits was a perfect transitional outfit for this temperamental weather! Today’s plus size OOTD features this Ellos Side Knot Dress. This cotton shirtdress is my favorite! No really — I loved it so much in the red stripe (see the post here) that I had to have it in the polka dot too! The full gathered skirt with the nipped in waist and buttons all down the front is so retro–and not to mention flattering! It’s such an easy, chic dress that is appropriate for just about any occasion this summer! Wear it with flats or with a fabulous pair of heels like these Steve Madden red fringe sandals that I found at Macy’s a few months ago!

I usually shy away from chunky knit sweaters…something about them has always had me feeling frumpy whenever I tried one on.
