(well, as much as cute plus size dresses can change your life, lol) I was introduced to Hutch through my Rent the Runway subscription over the last 2 years. They are primarily a straight-size brand, but have been producing a selection of pieces in plus size. And I’m HERE FOR IT! I fell in love with their AMAZING plus size fit and their unique designs and playful prints. And I’m thrilled that they have collaborated with another one of my favorite brands to offer cute plus size dresses with a bit of retro flavor: Modcloth.

I have a love affair with books, but I’ve been neglecting them lately in favor of podcasts and magazines and TV, of course. But as soon as I stepped foot in the new Eloquii store at The Shops at Northbridge (the Nordstrom Building in downtown Chicag0), and put this look together, I knew I had to get back in the library as quick as possible! I mean, this Conversational Blouse in Mushroom Print and pink Flounce Pencil Skirt gave me all of the librarian style and book lover vibes that I’ve been missing since so many of the bookstores closed years ago!

Summer is sizzlin’ hot already, and the style forecasts all point to bold brights as the look of the look of the season! Bright, saturated colors took over the SS17 runways and have made their way into every store. Me? I’m obsessed with anything orange, yellow or red! The super bright trends showed up in collections at Balenciaga, Max Mara and 3.1 Philip Lim, just to name a few. And guess where else these bright colors are showing up? At your local JCPenney! I recently partnered with JCPenney to showcase my plus size summer style – and yes, you guessed it – both of my looks feature bright, bold colors!
I’ve been completely obsessed with plaid and am wearing it everywhere this season — even to fancy parties! There is something so cheerful and bold and comforting about plaid. I usually pair my plaid tops with jeans or pop them under a sweater, but I feel like this plaid deserved a night out. So, I paired this red and black plaid top (from Torrid last year) with this fab sparkly Eliza J Textured Full Skirt that I found at Nordstrom*. Add some sequin booties and some statement jewelry, and this plaid is ready to party!
