City Chic Blue Plus Size Maxi Dress

Summer is hitting its stride here in Chicago, and we’ve had weeks and weeks of super hot temps, which has me trying to wear the lightest and least restrictive clothing I can get my hands on. And that led me to another City Chic dress (see my last post about this cheery yellow sundress here)…this time, I went with a silky smokey blue maxi dress with a racerback knot and slits on the side.

City Chic Plus Size Knot Back Maxi Dress*

I don’t usually gravitate towards maxi dresses, since I prefer dresses that show my legs and have more structure. But the color is what convinced me to try this City Chic maxi dress…it’s a gorgeous smokey blue and the material is a light, flowy and silky. And I loved it the moment I put it on! The scoop neck is universally flattering, and the racerback knot detail in the back is a nice addition. I also like the tassel tie belt at the waist and the slits — which allow for maximum air flow!
