Are you looking for a plus size faux fur jacket this season? You are not alone. There has literally been an explosion of faux furs from various plus size retailers. I’m not just talking about the old-school sleek furs, but totally outrageous faux fur jackets with exaggerated, shaggy shapes and cool colors. I was lucky enough to grab this crazy version from Lane Bryant earlier this year and it’s my new favorite accessory! I bought a size 20/22 for even more of an exaggerated shape and it goes easily over thicker tops and sweaters.

 The key to wearing these over-the-top plus size faux fur jackets? Don’t play it safe. Go for high-impact graphic contrast. I went with for a stark (and classic) black and white color scheme, but if  I had a bought this jacket in a bright jewel tone, I might have paired it with a printed pant. You WILL stand out from the crowd in a plus size faux fur jacket like this, so don’t try to blend in. Play up the drama and don’t play it safe!
