TCFStyle Expo 2017 Recap
Last month, I returned to Atlanta to attend the TCFStyle Expo for the second year in a row! This year, I was part of the TCFStyle Squad so I attended all of the events and got a true VIP experience! Here’s my recap of the event, and these are my 5 favorite things about this year’s TCFStyle Expo!
#1: The People
The TCFStyle Expo brings out the most fabulous, gorgeous, and empowered women in the industry and this year – we were joined by the men too! It was a super diverse crowd of men and women from all over the country, including bloggers, pr professionals, models, business women, entrepreneurs and brands.
Every event I attend, I end up bonding with some new bloggers, and this year I fell in love with Megan from Curves, Curles & Clothes, Sierra from Eclectic Kurves and Triena from Triena Deniese. And I reconnected with so many of my favorite ladies like Lisa from Mustang Sally Two, Shaina from Thick Girl’s Closet, Sabrina from Sabrina Styled, and Shakera from The Real Sample Size and so many more! It was two days of non-stop laughing, talking and connecting!
#2: The Fashion
The fashion at the TCFStyle Expo was off the hook this year! Literally everywhere I looked, I saw an outfit that I HAD TO HAVE. Both the guys and the gals were rockin’ some amazing looks.
The fashion shows were also a high point of the expo. In particular, I loved the Hanky Panky show, the Ashley Stewart Pageant and the MVP Collection by Mo Vaughn.
#3: The Shopping
So many great vendors set up pop up shops at this year’s expo. I had so much fun going from booth to booth and trying on so many beautiful clothes and products that were specifically designed for ME and MY BODY. There were many independent designers as well as major brands at the expo, so there was something for everyone. One of my favorite things was seeing my friend Crystal debut items from her new collection, Astra. Her booth was so cute and her clothes were dreamy!!
#4: The Panels
This year’s panels were truly inspiring and reveal insights into the state of plus size fashion, modeling, the business of blogging and branding. In particular, I loved the Style Has No Age or Size Panel, which was sponsored by Lane Bryant.
#5: The Networking
I know I’ve said this already, but the networking opportunities were awesome. I had so much much fun meeting the ladies from Dia & Co, Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart. And the connections I made with the other bloggers were amazing. Talking shop with the other gals is so helpful and liberating!
So, those are my favorite things about this year’s TCFStyle Expo. Plans are already in the works for next year’s event, and I’m absolutely going to attend again. I hope to see you there!
