Have you heard of Hutch Designs? GIRL, I’m about to change your life!! (well, as much as cute plus size dresses can change your life, lol) I was introduced to Hutch through my Rent the Runway subscription over the last 2 years. They are primarily a straight-size brand, but have been producing a selection of pieces in plus size. And I’m HERE FOR IT! I fell in love with their AMAZING plus size fit and their unique designs and playful prints. And I’m thrilled that they have collaborated with another one of my favorite brands to offer cute plus size dresses with a bit of retro flavor: Modcloth.

Hutch was so nice to send me one of their dresses from their new Modcloth x Hutch collection, and I’m swooning over it! It made me feel so ladylike and feminine and I just had to set up a little tea party for myself!

This is the Summery Tie-Shoulder Dress in a tropical print with the prettiest pastel shades.

I’m particularly obsessed with the tie features at the shoulder. It’s a little different because it’s a ribbon threaded through two grommets, so it’s easier to tie a pretty bow! It also makes the dress very adjustable for a variety of torso and shoulder lengths. And did I mention that the ties cover your bra straps?! That is a MUST for me!!

The neckline has a v-neck that shows just a hint of cleavage. The empire waist lets hits you at the narrowest part of your torso and then flares out in a gorgeous, totally twirlable, skirt!

Did I mention that this dress HAS POCKETS??? *SWOON***

And of course, the pastel tropical print is just a perfect print for a fun summer dress.

As far as sizing goes, I consulted the Modcloth size chart and ordered a 22. I think it fit very well, and I might have been ok with a size 20. But I recommend ordering up if you’re a busty apple shape like me. 🙂
