Plus Size Glitter Blazer Outfit
Next post
I recently had some family in town over Thanksgiving, and we went to go see The Illusionists with Broadway in Chicago. For the occasion, I obviously wanted to style the most magical piece in my wardrobe, which was this super sparkly plus size glitter blazer that I just got from a recent Target Try On! I had so much fun styling it – here we go!
I love this Plus Size Glitter Blazer from Target so much! It’s soooo sparkly and glittery, and makes the perfect centerpiece to any outfit. It’s also got some great stretch to it!
I also went searching for some similar pieces, and I found a ton of cute plus size sequin blazers in a bunch of different colors. I linked them all because why not!

Most of the time I would just do a bra under a blazer like this, but between the chilly weather and the family-friendly event, I opted to throw on a tank as well. Mine had some nice criss cross, lacy detailing, but any of these would look great. I like adding a little detail, but nothing to overpower the blazer.

I love a cute pair of shorts with a blazer! A flowy pair of shorts kind of looks like a skirt, but you get a little more structure and a little more freedom than a mini skirt. Don’t look over a good short & tight combo for the winter!

Tights are a MUST for the colder weather, and they pair great under a pair of shorts! The key is to get a really good pair – cheap tights always look cheap. I really like the tights from both Lane Bryant and Torrid, both are linked here.

Next is a short heeled black boot! Easy to walk in, goes up to or above the knee for some additional warmth, and I got to show off the entire boot because I was wearing the shorts! I have a staple pair that I’ve had in my closet FOREVER, but here are some really similar pairs, all in wide calf.

I know it’s been a sea of black for this outfit, so I chose some big, sparkly earrings in a similar tone as the blazer to keep the magical theme going and to contrast nicely with my hair. I LOVE these earrings, they can elevate any outfit.

And finally, the bag! I have this fluffy, feathery black bag that went perfect with this outfit. At first it seems to blend in because it’s black, but then you realize it’s a standout piece on its own because of the fun detailing on it. It’s small and easy to carry, and an easy neutral but fun add to any outfit – including this one!

What do you think? How would you style a sparkly blazer like this? I had so much fun wearing this outfit, and the show was great! Can’t wait to do it again.
