OK, one of my pet peeves is when people say that they can’t find “basics” in plus sizes…but when I look around…ALL I SEE IS BASICS! I have the opposite problem, where I CRAVE standout pieces – those unique, bold, interesting looks that make me gasp and reach for my wallet. I’ve been plus size my entire life, and those pieces are truly rare. What makes a statement piece? Well, to me, it comes down to color, texture, embellishment, silhouette, or volume. It has to have something that makes it “extra” and it should resonate with you on a deep level. But…with plus size options plummeting again, these are hard to come by.
