Plus Size Pink Sequin Dress – Styled 2 Ways!
Next post
Some things are so cute, you don’t just want to wear them once! I wore this plus size pink sequin dress when I went to a Christmas bar a few weeks ago, and I felt so cute and so fun. So of course I want to wear it again! Here’s how I styled this dress 2 ways: night on the town, and Christmas casual.
The star of the show! I love this dress so much. I wore it “as intended” the first time – as a dress with some fun accessories. The second time I styled it I wore it more as a skirt than a dress. In both outfits, the sequins really pop and add so much festivity for the holiday season.
I wore these white boots with both outfits. They’re so much fun to wear, and they keep the outfit bright. My actual boots I’ve had for a long time, but all three of these similar options come with a wide calf and are super cute.

My “night out” outfit was completed with a big pink bow in my hair. Honestly I just grabbed a long ribbon that I had and tied it up in a bow, but there are some great hair bows online that are a little easier to throw in your hair. The bow is one of those accessories that makes this outfit great for a Christmas outing.

Now for the Christmas casual outfit. So I turned the dress into a skirt by adding a thick, stretchy belt. Then I put a sweatshirt over the dress, tucked it in, and then pulled the sweatshirt over the belt so you couldn’t see it. That way I got the cute look of a sweatshirt blocking all the sequins!
I found a super cute red sweater at Alice & Wonder that said “it’s beginning to look a lot like cocktails” and I fell in love. When I checked online they were sold out, but I found some super cute pink sweatshirts with the same saying on it that would also look great with the dress.

I topped off the Christmas casual outfit with a fun furry white hat! It tied the whole outfit together with the boots and gave me the warm and cozy vibe I was looking for. Again, my hat was one I got forever ago, but there are some of the CUTEST options online, both faux fur and real fur.

And finally, to put the cherry on top of both outfits – a festive purse! This is what truly makes these outfits perfect for the holiday season. I have a peppermint pinwheel bag, but I also found this adorable Christmas tree bag. Nothing better to brighten up a holiday outfit!
