I’ve been a hardcore dress girlie for as long as I can remember, but the last few years, SKIRTS might be edging them out of my go-to status! I think it’s because you can have so much fun with styling skirts in multiple ways. That’s especially true in fall when you can experiment and play with layers! Here are a few that caught my eye so far this season! If you can’t tell – I’m really feeling plaid skirts and animal prints! And look how cool that denim skirt is with the cutout!!! Take a look!

The temps were in the 70s, and to me…that means fall is here!!! I put together this adorable denim-on-denim look for a movie screening last week and couldn’t be happier! I know this is a look I will reach for again and again in the coming months!

So I was trying to go to a Starbucks to get some work done, but they were closed. I was bummed until I saw the Old Navy next door – and you know your girl can’t resist a try-on. So in I went! And here’s what I found, photos included. As a reminder, I’m 5’9″, size 18W/XXL.

This dress has reignited my interest in planning my wedding!!! While it’s not a bridal gown, this dress would be perfect for all of the events that often surround weddings – like showers, bachelorette brunches, cake tastings and all that jazz! I paired it with my favorite neutral heels and a pearl headband and my go-to heart necklace. It’s SO GOOD, y’all!

OK, one of my pet peeves is when people say that they can’t find “basics” in plus sizes…but when I look around…ALL I SEE IS BASICS! I have the opposite problem, where I CRAVE standout pieces – those unique, bold, interesting looks that make me gasp and reach for my wallet. I’ve been plus size my entire life, and those pieces are truly rare. What makes a statement piece? Well, to me, it comes down to color, texture, embellishment, silhouette, or volume. It has to have something that makes it “extra” and it should resonate with you on a deep level. But…with plus size options plummeting again, these are hard to come by. So I went looking this week, and these are some pieces that I found. What do you think?! Which one is calling to you??!
