Denim is the Queen Bee of the Fall Season, and I’m celebrating by partnering with Riders by Lee on a 3-Way Style Challenge! I’m always thrilled when a new plus size denim line debuts, and Riders by Lee just came out with a great line called the “Beautiful Comfort Collection” available in 16W-26W. They come in a variety of washes, styles and colors and will retail around $25 each. That is an absolute deal! Riders by Lee asked me to style these “Heavenly Touch” Samantha Skinny Jeans in three different ways to show how versatile and fabulous they are. To make things more interesting, they are running a #RidersStyleChallenge, where the winner gets to go on set at the next ad campaign and style the shoot. And YOU will get a chance to win a free pair of Riders by Lee Jeans! Be sure to VOTE FOR ME HERE > http://bit.ly/1ZvgMWs

When I saw this INC International Concepts Boucle Knit Chiffon-Skirted top in this pretty metallic pink, I thought it struck the perfect GNO note — just dressy enough without being too fussy. Throw on some rose gold Charles David pumps from DSW and my trusty gray Sejour Leather Jacket from Nordstrom — add a simple envelope clutch, and that’s it–I’m ready for some wine and good conversation with the girls!
How are you styling your denim this fall? If you’re plus size and looking for an affordable, comfortable denim line, I encourage you to check out the new line from Riders by Lee. I’m sure you’ll find something that works with your personal style!
It’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, and everyone should be wearing pink! This crocheted top in blushing pink from Kiyonna is the perfect way to show your support of the cause…and better yet, Kiyonna is donating 50% of the sales from the Bohemian Crochet Bellini in Blushing Pink to a super worthy organization called Breast Cancer Angels. The org rallies around women who are touched by this disease and offers emotional, physical and financial support and services to women who are undergoing treatment. What better way to “Look Good While Doing Good??”
What are you doing to raise awareness of breast cancer this month? I hope you all are starting with your own boobies and giving yourself regular breast exams. If you want more details about breast exams, go here. And next time you’re in the shower or laying down in bed, take the time to check for any changes in your breasts or developing lumps. It could save your life!
Kiyonna has another amazing plus size wrap dress for us to lust after! This Captivating Crochet Wrap Dress in Playful Peacock is such a divine, rich blue color, and look at the sleeves! I love the crochet peacock printed sleeves. The shape is the same flattering, feminine silhouette that I always associate with Kiyonna wrap dresses, and I love how they keep coming up with new details to keep the designs fresh!
This year is a total Plus Size Revolution! The recent Lane Bryant #PlusisEqual campaign has helped highlight the increasing acceptance of plus size women on runways and in magazines. It’s been amazing to watch and to be a part of. How many times, as a plus size woman, have you been overwhelmed with choices?? It seems to be happening more and more to me lately, and I am reveling in that feeling! This outfit is one more example of how on point Lane Bryant is this season. This simple Venetian Red Ponte Circle Skirt fits perfectly, and paired with this Black Mock Neck Top, I’m feeling all sorts of fierce and fabulous.
Have you heard all of the amazing news from Lane Bryant and their #PlusisEqual campaign for New York Fashion Week? I’ve been loving all of the pictures posted by my fellow plus size bloggers and models who were lucky enough to be in NY for the launch party. So, instead of being jealous, I am celebrating here in Chicago by featuring an all Lane Bryant outfit. And YES, that is a CAMO SEQUIN PENCIL SKIRT!! Lane Bryant put out this Camo Sequin Pencil Skirt a month or two ago and I was obsessed from the minute I saw it. Did you know that the fashion gods have deemed sequins appropriate for day wear?? Well, I wanted to test that out and came up with this work-to-event look — entirely from Lane Bryant.
Lane Bryant Outfit: Camo Sequin Pencil Skirt; Distressed Denim Jean Jacket; Grosgrain Tank in Veiled Rose; Metallic Strappy Heel in Rose Quartz
Pairing this amazing camo skirt with a blush pink tank top plays with the idea of hard/soft…and the addition of the jean jacket adds a casual element that makes this whole outfit work for daytime. Simply remove the jacket to transition to evening!
A note on sizing: the camo pencil skirt runs small — order one or two sizes up! Also, if you have wide width feet, you’ll love these heels — so pretty and very roomy!!
I also decided to try out the Cobalt Eyeshadow trend with this look…very dramatic — but still not sure how I feel about it! lol
So, there you have it. Be bold and wear those sequins to the office — I know you want to!
