Is there anything more chic than a classic black sheath dress and a camel coat?! I actually don’t wear a lot of black, but sometimes when I see a dress that is so elegant and impeccably executed like this Maggy London Illusion Sheath Dress, I have to have it! And do you know what really makes me happy? This dress is available in both straight and plus sizes! Kudos to Maggy London for making size-inclusive dresses! I have always been a little wary of the yellow and black color scheme…since it puts me in mind of bumble bees and Stryper, the spandex-clad christian glam rock band from the 80s (don’t know who they are? click here.) But the time has come to bring out the gold and black in all its glory! When I found this gorgeous marigold lace peplum top from Jessica London on fullbeauty.com, I knew that these short black shorts from Torrid would be the perfect pairing. The marigold yellow is so bright and cheery and the same colored lace overlay is so ladylike! When you pair it with some flirty black short shorts, you’ve got a cute, summer ready and sunshine-y outfit!

It almost Memorial Day…and that means — get out your gorgeous white dresses! Although I’m a big believer in breaking fashion “rules” and don’t really abide by the “no-white-after-Labor-Day,” I can’t deny that Memorial Day feels like summer and summer means white! This white plus size dress from Jessica London on Fullbeauty.com is the perfect dress to wear to welcome summer! The white eyelet is so crisp and the sleeveless shape with a collar and a tie belt feels preppy and not too sweet.

Can leather can be classy and elegant?? I love leather looks, but sometimes they can verge on the harsher, give-me-a-whip side of fashion. So I absolutely had to try this plus size Leather Sheath Dress from Jessica London that I saw on Fullbeauty.com. I went with black (although it comes in a gorgeous shade of dark raisin too!) and I awaited the package with a lot of excitement and a little bit of dread. Leather doesn’t stretch or give at all, so will it fit? Will I look like a dominatrix in this dress? Where on earth will I wear it??? All of these questions bounced around my head. But…when it came and I slipped it on…it fit perfectly! And as you can see, it’s a simply elegant and tasteful LBD. No whips needed!
I didn’t want to go over the top with accessories, so I just wore a simple necklace and earrings, a streamlined clutch and simple leather bangle. The strappy sandals provided just a hint of the dark sex-appeal that leather is known for, but definitely doesn’t go over the top.
I usually shy away from chunky knit sweaters…something about them has always had me feeling frumpy whenever I tried one on. However, I’ve been trying to go for more simple, stream-lined outfits lately and thought I’d work with a fashion staple like this one. This Ellos Black Chunky Knit Sweater is from Fullbeauty.com, and I was so surprised when I put it on! It wasn’t frumpy at all. In fact, I felt oh-so-chic! So here are 2 ways that I came up with to wear a chunky knit sweater–one is more classic and the other is funky and fun!
First up… a classic and chic black and white look.
Next, I wanted something a little funky and fun…so I added a sequin skirt, a cat hat and a funky bag!

But if quirky accessories aren’t your thing, this outfit looks good by itself too!
