I don’t know how I missed the news, but the Lane Bryant x Glamour collection debuted last month, and it was such a surprise to me! I didn’t even hear about it until I saw it in my local Lane Bryant store, and I had to seriously stop myself from buying every single piece on the rack! I had to settle on just one piece, and I wasn’t the only one who had to have it…since it looks like it’s already sold out! Just look at this adorable red and black striped dress!
Since today is Election Day…and also unofficially #pantsuit day, I wanted to share one of my favorite plus size pant suits…and YES, it is POLKA DOTTED! When you want to get a job done, put on a pantsuit! This polka dotted one is from Lane Bryant from earlier this fall. I think it’s all but sold out, unfortunately. But I love how unique it is…I mean, who would have thought to put polka dots on a tweed pattern? lol. A slim ankle length trouser with a cuffed hem, paired with a two button blazer with a sleek Mandarin collar.
Plaid and leather is a perfect combo for just about any occasion on your calendar this fall! I have a growing collection of plaid items, and when I saw this adorable red plaid trapeze dress at my local Nordstrom Rack, I had to have it immediately. I instantly had a vision in my head — I knew I wanted to do a rocker-chic punk look. AND OMG…it all came together when I found this Peplum Moto Jacket from Lane Bryant*!
The Lane Bryant Peplum Moto Jacket is so unbelievably soft and it fits perfectly! Red plaid is so classic, and when you add a moto jacket and some great leather booties like these Wedge Ankle Boot with Metal Toe, you have a classic, chic, edgy look that is perfect for fall festivities.
This yellow skirt was so bright and cheery, I had to have it when I saw it at Lane Bryant earlier last month! I always love pops of yellow in the spring, but for once, I wasn’t feeling pastels or florals. Instead, I wanted to put together an outfit that was graphic and modern and bold, so I opted to pair the Modernist Circle Skirt with a window pane print halter top with a tie at the neckline and these awesome Coach peep-toe booties. Fresh, modern and bright…just what the change in season calls for!
I love the classic Chanel Coat and periodically go hunting for something that will give me that posh, sophisticated look, without the price tag (not to mention that Chanel doesn’t make plus sizes!). After binge-watching Scream Queens on Netflix a few months ago, I went crazy trying to find something that gave me that same over-the-top Chanel look and feel. And low and behold…I found this amazing plus size Tahari ASL Faux Pearl Trim Boucle Tweed Jacket at Macy’s! (Sadly, it’s already sold out.) At first glance, this jacket might seem a little old-lady-ish, but when you add a short body-con tunic dress, piles of pearls, and some thigh-high boots, the look gets a little younger, edgier and Scream Queen-worthy!
