Beat the “Swoobs” with this Amoena Mia Priscilla Bra
Swoobs = sweaty boobs. This is the summer curse of every big girl with big girls. I’m not great with the heat and when the temperature starts climbing, all I want to do is camp out in front of the AC in my bra. So, when I heard about the Amoena Mia Pricilla Bra from Fullbeauty.com, I jumped at the chance to review it! Why?? Well, the Amoena bra is supposed to be “temperature equalizing” and has some special fabric inserts that wick away the moisture that accumulates in those high-friction areas under the arms, boobs, and back. There’s no underwire and the straps are a little wider and cushier than usual.
So instead of an underwire, there’s a wide band that sits under the bust and offers support.
It comes in a pretty purple-y plum color and lace fabric in the cups.
What’s the perfect way to test out a “temperature equalizing” bra?
Well, I decided to wear it while I moved to a new apartment. This was one of the hardest moves I’ve ever had (from a 3rd floor walk up to a 1st floor) and I’m pretty sure that I nearly died a few times. But…the Amoena Mia Priscilla bra performed extremely well! It provided plenty of support for the day’s high impact activities, and I didn’t feel like I was restricted or shapeless.
Throughout the grueling moving process, I kept checking in with my boob temperature…lol. And for most of the day, I was pleasantly dry and “swoob-less.” Understandably, by the end of the day, there wasn’t an inch of me that wasn’t covered in sweat and grime…but I have to say that the Amoena bra passed the test with flying colors! So if you are in the market for a high-tech, cooling bra, definitely check this one out at fullbeauty.com. There are also tons of other plus size bra options and styles…so have fun!
This is the first time I've heard of a bra with these capabilities. Color me intrigued and anxious to check it out! I love the color and the fact it doesn't have an underwire. Those things hurt! Thanks for the great review! 🙂
Just discovered your website and have found it to be SO helpful. Thank you!!! My desire is to look like a lady dispite the large dress size and you are helping me find my way. You always look so elegant and pulled together. I'm not a make-up wearer, but think I need to re-think that. Do you have any suggestions or tips in this department? And jewlery. I notice you wear long necklaces instead of short – is there a style/fashion tip behind that? – Maggie
Another question – When dressing up for work do you usually wear a body shaper? You look terrific in all your dresses. Makes me think there is hope for me. Keep up the great blog!!! BTW, have you looked into being a plus-size model? I think you would be great at it. – Maggie
What is your favorite brand of hose to wear with skirts & dresses?
