Plus size women have more shopping options than ever before! I love that more size-inclusive boutiques are arriving on the scene, and I was thrilled when Lianca contacted me about her shop. This is a striking take on a pencil skirt, and I love the bold red color with the black trim. I decided to play off the strong sleek lines of the skirt and added a black sleeveless mock turtleneck and some black shoes with ankle straps (to echo the color-blocked hem). All that’s left is to grab a sturdy, practical tote and you’re out the door. This is the type of skirt that gives me confidence when I’m heading to work — I would turn to this outfit when I have an important meeting or a presentation, and I know I’d rock it!

Just a note on sizing — I’m wearing a size 2x skirt here, but in most items on Love Lianca, I’m falling in the 3x range, so the items are running a little snug. Wherever you carry more weight, size up. Since I’m slimmer on the bottom, and this skirt is made out of a stretchy material, I felt confident going with a 2x.
