Plus Size Summer Dresses from Lane Bryant
It’s summer! Even though it feels different, there’s one thing that will never change: my obsession with plus size summer dresses! I’ve partnered with Lane Bryant to show you two of my current favorites – one is in my favorite print (polka dots, of course!) and the other one is in the comfiest fabric (knit!).

I know that many people are living up their time in quarantine by doubling down on lounge pants and sweats. But that’s never really been my thing. First of all…why wear pants?! And secondly, I’ve had my fill of loungewear.
Lately, I’ve been making more of an effort to wear “real” clothes, even though I’m not leaving the house. And the absolutely most comfortable thing you can wear around the house that still makes you feel like your old self is a KNIT DRESS!
This Crochet Yoke Fit-and-Flare Maxi Dress from Lane Bryant is so soft and comfortable. I absolutely love the color “sun-dried tomato”, because it’s an orangey, rusty red. And maxi dresses are perfect for working from home, since they provide coverage and you don’t have to feel weird about how you are sitting on the sofa. lol
The crochet detail at the neckline adds texture and some flair. And it’s cut just wide enough to cover your bra straps! And did I mention that it has POCKETS???
The dress comes with a simple fabric tie belt, which is definitely how I wear it at home.
But when I ran out for errands, I threw on this Faux-Raffia Stretch Belt and Snake Print Espadrille Platform Sandals.
Right now, I am being very careful about only buying and wearing clothes that make me HAPPY. And what is happier than a polka dot printed midi dress?
I am so obsessed with this dress because of the polka dots, but also the PLEATS! I love that the ribbons at the shoulder cover your bra strap and that the ruffled, pleated layer over the bust provides movement while giving you a waist.
The waistband is a simple elastic, and I added the faux-raffia belt but I shouldn’t have bothered, since you don’t really see it.
The midi length is demure and gives you some coverage – especially on a windy day!
I wore it with a big floppy straw hat, which made this AN OUTFIT and gave me some protection from the sun. I love the way it pulls out the texture of these Criss Cross Block-Heel Sandals too.
