One of my favorite parts about the holiday season is the full embrace of everything plaid! I’ve always wanted a red plaid suit, and I finally found this wonderful plus size plaid suit at Lane Bryant. I wore it to holiday high tea with my besties last weekend and got so many compliments. Here’s the outfit!

I am in LOVE with this plaid suit! The blazer has one button and drapes perfectly, not bulky at all. The pants are wide leg and high waisted, making them comfy and flattering. My favorite part is that each of these could easily be the star of their own outfit, but they still go so well together.

Plus Size Black Bow Top

Since the red plaid is a lot, I decided to pair the suit with black top. I like the low neckline because it gives the suit some room to breathe, but I also love the bow as a festive detail. Honestly, just the black top and the plaid pants is super cute on its own! I’ve linked a black bow top here, but it’s also super easy to add a bow to a plain black top you already have (I did that in my cold weather outfit) – so I linked just a bow clip too!

Metallic Silver Flats

You’re probably thinking, “you weren’t wearing silver flats in that picture!” You would be correct…but I wish I was! I chose a pair of black platform Mary Janes, but the pants weren’t quite long enough on me to warrant the extra height in the shoes. I would have much preferred these silver flats, and I will be wearing them next time I wear this suit. But if you’re short, I think the Mary Janes would be great, so I linked both!

Black Beaded Clutch

This clutch! I’m kind of obsessed. The beading is so nice, and it adds the perfect amount of texture without being too gaudy next to a plaid suit. Love this as a new staple piece in my wardrobe!
