Plus Size Work from Home Outfit
Next post
Honesty time: I haven’t posted in forever because it’s been FREEZING in Chicago and I haven’t gone anywhere – which means I haven’t worn anything cute to post about! It then occurred to me that my work from home “uniform” might just be the exact thing people need in these frigid temps. So, here’s how to get dressed if you work from home, you sit all day, but you still wanna be comfy and cute – and warm!
Let’s not pretend that you’re going to wear anything other than leggings! The key with leggings is that you need to find a pair that’s super high waisted. That way, you don’t have any pressure or restriction over your abdomen. Also, be sure that it’s not super tight in the crotch area, because no one wants to be uncomfortable while they’re sitting all day. These are my personal favorites from Nike, they’re absolutely my go-to on my work days.
Let’s be honest: there’s no way that I’m sitting for 10 hours hunched over my computer wearing a bra! So we’re going with a bralette to stay comfy. Then I add a tank top for an extra layer, I love this one from Hanky Panky! It leaves a cute little lace layer just below my sweater.

Next step: cozy sweater! Go to your closet and look for sweaters that have a looser fit. Pro tip: make sure it ISN’T ITCHY! An itchy sweater will bother you all day, and you don’t have time for that! Go for something cute, something that makes you smile, or a bright color that is going to lift your mood. It’s amazing what the right sweater can do for you. Lately, I have been reaching for the Valentine’s Day sweaters I got from Target. How cute is this??
Next, time for some fuzzy socks! These are a must have to stay comfy and warm through the winter – and the best part is, they can be cute too! Love these heart ones, Valentine’s Day is my favorite!
I don’t bother with makeup when I work from home, but what I love to do is put like a facial oil on to give a little life to my face. I love this one from Biossance. I also opt for some lipstick to make myself feel put together – linked my favorite one from Sephora here!
And the last piece of our puzzle: either a claw clip or a scrunchie so you can put your hear up when you REALLY have to get work done. Having this on your person, not across the room, is a must. When you’re focused, you need to stay focused!
There’s the look! Check out my IG reel putting the outfit together. What do you wear when you work from home?
