Riders by Lee is hosting a Riders Style Challenge, and I’m one of the contestants! Go to their Facebook post and vote for me! You can help me win a prize, but you could also win a free pair of Riders by Lee jeans ($30 value!). Riders by Lee asked me and two other fantastic bloggers to choose a pair of their Beautiful Comfort jeans and style 3 outfits with them. Here’s my first look of 3. For this outfit, I wanted to be flirty and casual, so I paired the jeans with a pale pink “love” sweater, a black and white striped top and my fringe boots.
No more boring casual outfits! In my last post, I mentioned that Gwynnie Bee, the plus size clothing subscription service, challenged me to make a Style Resolution this year, and mine was to seriously pump up my casual, off-duty looks, which had been taking second place to my workwear outfits. So, instead of throwing on whatever tshirt was on the floor of my bedroom, I decided to be much more intentional and focused on my casual style this year. My second Gwynnie Bee style post features this Drape Front Mixed Media Duster from Jones New York, and it’s a little out of this world!
When Gwynnie Bee asked me what my plus size style resolution was for 2017, I had to take a moment to think. It’s January, and everyone is making resolutions — and some have already broken them! Even though New Year’s Resolutions get a bad rap, I love them, and make resolutions for every area of my life — including my personal style! So when Gwynnie Bee asked me what I wanted to accomplish with my style this year, I took the question seriously. After much thought, I’ve decided that my plus size style resolution for 2017 is: to seriously up my casual game this year.
It’s the New Year, y’all, and I’m celebrating by wearing ALL the sweaters. It’s so so so cold in Chicago, so when Fullbeauty.com contacted me to collaborate on a series of plus size fashion posts, I ended up stocking up on sweaters and other winter essentials. So here’s the first in a series of posts featuring items from Fullbeauty.com, and today is all about this plus size sweater and these amazing skinny jeans!
Are you looking for a plus size faux fur jacket this season? You are not alone. There has literally been an explosion of faux furs from various plus size retailers. I’m not just talking about the old-school sleek furs, but totally outrageous faux fur jackets with exaggerated, shaggy shapes and cool colors. I was lucky enough to grab this crazy version from Lane Bryant earlier this year and it’s my new favorite accessory! I bought a size 20/22 for even more of an exaggerated shape and it goes easily over thicker tops and sweaters.
