I found the most adorable plus size red peplum top at Fashion to Figure! If you haven’t heard of this retailer, you need to check it out immediately. Trendy, fun pieces at truly affordable prices. It’s fast fashion, so items turn over quickly and there’s always something new. Like Forever 21, you’ll find unique clothes that push the traditional envelope for plus size gals — hemlines are higher, necklines are lower and prints and materials are more daring than other plus size retailers. I’m thrilled that I get to work with them on a series of 3 posts this week. And first up is the perfect cute and casual look — a red peplum top and skinny jeans with leopard details! Perfect for Valentine’s Day, but also great for all occasions throughout the year!

The peplum top fit perfectly, with a nice elbow-length sleeve and adorable bow tie. It’s the perfect color red too! The Skinny Jeans are fantastic. If you’re on the larger side of a 2x and usually wear a size 18, I would size up to a 20 in the pants. I wanted them to be skinny, but not too tight and the size 20 fit perfectly. And can we talk about the great patent leopard clutch and braided gold necklace? Fab accessories that really set the outfit off!

Plussize Peek-a-Boo Dress: Who’s afraid of a little midriff?

When I saw this dress on the website, I knew it could go either way–it could have been unique and fabulous…or it could have been a total disaster. In fact, when I showed my photographer (the fantastic Meredyth), she thought it was hideous and was convinced that I would hate it!

Well, I ended up loving it–and, while she may never where it, she admitted that it looked great on. 🙂 I think it was the subtlety of the cutout that won me over…the dramatic long sleeves, kitchy print and small peek-a-boo cutout midriff never scream, “Look at my belly!” But the combo is just daring enough to make you feel glamorous and unique…
