It’s All About the Legs in this Forever 21 Plus Size Wrap Maxi Dress

I told you this tomato red/orange was going to be my signature color! It’s gorgeous and electric, and I cannot get enough of it this season! This Forever 21 Plus Size Wrap Front Maxi Dress* in this color is definitely a show-stopper!

What do I love about this plus size wrap dress from Forever 21 Plus?? Well, of course the color is to die for…and apparently, I’m not the only one to feel that way, since it’s already sold out. 🙁 But this dress is also available in a classic black, bright blue, and gorgeous grey.

Also, the design of this dress solves one of my biggest pet peeves with maxi dresses — which is they never show enough leg! Even when a dress or skirt has a slit, there’s usually so much fabric that you have to really work to be able to flash a little leg…but this plus size wrap front dress is designed with a sort of tulip front wrap — which is guaranteed to show off your gams!

The third thing I love about this dress is that it’s made from a light tshirt material…so even though it looks like a million bucks, it’s still a little casual, comfortable and laid back.

Off Duty Style: Forever 21 Plus Size Crop Top and Ripped Jeans

My usual style alternates between #GIRLBOSS and Glam, but sometimes I like to change it up in my off-duty stlye and go casual. Contrary to popular belief, I do wear jeans! As part of my recent collaboration with Forever 21, I chose 3 looks to play with…and today’s look is all about being cool and casual in a cropped top and ripped jeans!

This blush pink crochet crop top is so delicate! But be warned! It is totally see-through, which is a little daunting at first, but once you commit to it, you can totally rock the crop! If you can’t commit, just throw a tank top underneath and call it a day! Ripped jeans are everywhere right now, so I’ve been searching for a good plus size option…and here it is! These distressed jeans fit like a glove and have strategic rips placed up and down the front of legs. And can we talk about these shoes for a minute? I honestly did not expect to love them as much as I did…but they are the perfect shade of pink and look great with a casual outfit as well as a nice dress.

Cool Girl Style: Forever 21 Plus Faux Leather Shift Dress

Sometimes I stumble upon an outfit that is a lot cooler than me. That happened when I collaborated with Forever 21 Plus on a series of spring fashion posts*. I saw this Forever 21 Plus Size Faux Leather Shift Dress and my cool girl meter went to 11! I love the rock star vibe of the faux leather and the short skirt. The deep cuts on the sides are meant to show off a cute patterned top — like this striped tank — or even a crop top!

Plus Size Fashion: We Wear Short Skirts!

Plus size women have so many more choices now! It’s a whole new world that has opened up in the last two years, and I couldn’t be happier. Clothes that would have never been manufactured in plus sizes — like mini skirts and crop tops! — are now showing up in major retailers everywhere. Shopping is so fun now — since I know that I have cute, stylish and fashion forward clothes to choose from! So to celebrate…I’m showing a little leg in today’s post!

This is just a simple skater skirt from Forever 21 Plus, but it’s short and bright and perfect! The pleats at the front and back provide a little bit of shape. And this textured crop top (which isn’t too cropped!) is so fresh and refined. Tomato and white are two of the hottest colors for SS16, and together, they are a winning combo! And because I’m a fan of hi/lo dressing, I’ve paired this Forever 21 Plus outfit with higher end accessories. These pumps from Alexander Wang are so colorful and amazing! They are a different shape than most pumps and the woven textile fabric is so unique. And, you’ve seen these Saint Laurent Retro Surf sunglasses in quite of my posts lately. I just can’t get enough!

Lemons on the Beach: Plus Size Swimsuit featuring Forever 21 Plus

Forever 21 Plus has really stepped up their plus size fashion game lately. Not only did they debut a plus size activewear line recently, but they are continuing to put out some of the absolute MOST DARLING plus size swimsuits on the market right now. I bought my first “fatkini” at Forever 21 last year, and it’s still one of my absolute favorites (see the post here). This year, I was all set to buy another 2-piece, but as soon as I laid eyes on this ADORABLE Forever 21 Plus Size Lemon/Leaf One-Piece, I had to have it!

This one-piece plus size swimsuit features a vibrant, lush leaf pattern with pops of cheery yellow lemons throughout! It’s ruched down the front and has a retro halter neckline. The overall effect is magic for curvy bodies — and creates a retro “bathing beauty” silhouette. When I put on these Saint Laurent 102 Surf Retro Sunglasses from Nordstrom, I nearly swooned at the sight of them together!

It’s still cold here in Chicago (it was only 42 degrees when we did this shoot!!), but I’m already dreaming of how and when and where I’m going to wear this swimsuit this season!
