Gwynnie Bee Has Perfect Spring Transition Pieces

Have you tried Gwynnie Bee yet? I’ve been talking about it for ages on my blog, and I am still loving the service! It makes it possible for me to have unlimited access to new dresses and still be able to live in a studio apartment. If you’re interested, you can sign up for a Free 30-day trial to try out the service.

Right now, spring is still in the process of springing…winter clothes are too warm and spring outfits aren’t ready to come out yet…that’s another place where the Gwynnie Bee Service comes in! You can spice up your wardrobe while you’re waiting to debut your bright spring dresses.

The key to transition dressing is brighter colors but with longer sleeves and hem length. Also, look for pieces that can be layered or worn with high boots or tights. I go for dresses that look springish but still provide coverage. Here’s a recent example from my Gwynnie Bee closet…

The lines of this Three Dots dress looked simple, but were very flattering–with the seaming over the bust and the full skirt. The 3/4 sleeves and below-the-knee length were perfect for the uncertain spring weather. Definitely a great transition piece!

Chic and Easy Work Style in Igigi Elsa Dress from Gwynnie Bee

Summer is–sadly–coming to a close, and I’ve cycled through most of my chic work dresses several times. I desperately needed a jolt of freshness to my work wardrobe, so I turned to my Gwynnie Bee closet to get my fix!

I wanted something chic and easy to wear to the office, and this Igigi Elsa Dress in a bold brush-stroke black and cream pattern fit the bill perfectly. (GB girls, find it here) The design of the dress has elastic in the waist surrounded by a band of black…which makes it seem like you’re wearing a broad obi-style belt.

The V-neck and the 3/4 sleeves and easy design of this Igigi Elsa Dress make this a nice transitional piece for late summer/fall. It runs a little loose, which I like, but my plussize girls who aren’t as chesty might find it a little too roomy. Add some accessories with a little edge, and you’ve got your work wardrobe all set!
If you’re a regular, you know I mention Gwynnie Bee several times a month…but if you’re new to the site, you need to check it out! It’s like Netflix for plussize clothes…You pay one monthly fee, add items from quality plussize fashion lines to your “closet” and receive/exchange your items after you wear them in pre-packaged mail bags. It’s a simple way to augment your own closet!

Another Adorable Look from Gwynnie Bee: Cherry Velvet Adele Dress in Mod Dots

I’m loving the new infusion of adorable pinup, vintage-looking labels in my Gwynnie Bee closet! Cherry Velvet is a great line with fun prints and flattering shapes for plussize girls with a love of pinup looks. This Adele Dress in Mod Dots (GB girls find it here) in this graphic black and white print has an fabulous sweetheart neckline, 3/4 length sleeves and a nipped in waist–with pockets. So cute!

Black and white goes great with a pop of color–these fab melon-orange heels are the perfect color and height. They are INC from Macy’s. Other mod-inspired accessories set off this look and make it fun and flirty.

If you don’t know about Gwynnie Bee, you should definitely try it out! It ‘s the perfect way to try all sorts of looks without the commitment.

OOTD: Land’s End Dress and Jessica London Sandals

Gwynnie Bee is totally my go-to source for cute clothes when I’m desperate for variety in my closet. The weather in Chicago has been a bit undecided…so I needed a dress that was not too light but not too hot. I was also craving something that was comfy and casual, but still cute enough to go to brunch and shopping with my gal pals. This Land’s End 3/4 sleeve floral pattern dress that I ordered through Gwynnie Bee (GB ladies, find it here) was just the thing!

I love the combination of red and aubergine floral pattern…and the fabric is super soft. Up close, it looks a little washed out, but once you have it on, you won’t want to take it off since it’s so comfortable! It runs big, so size down or order your true size if you want some room. The surplice bodice is great for chesty ladies, and the gathered waist adds some shape to the loose cotton knit.

I paired it with my Jessica London ComfortView Alicia sandals in Mustard Yellow to add a pop of color to the mix. Did you know Jessica London recently debuted a whole line of comfortable shoes?? Tons of cute options that are built with comfort and cuteness as a priority! Most of the shoes are perfect for those ladies who prefer lower heels. Seriously, check them out!

London Times Tapestry Rose Dress is in Bloom in the Garden

It’s SPRING! Spring means flowers and big gorgeous blooms on big, gorgeous curves! This Tapestry Rose Print Dress from London Times that I got from my Gwynnie Bee closet is perfect for the season!

It’s got such great lines…with origami folds at the waist and an asymmetrical neckline are unique details that shape the dress and draw the eyes lightly across your waist and up to your face. And can we talk about the print? It’s a digitalized version of roses, so it’s totally unique and cool, but still ladylike and appropriate for the office.

I snapped these pics at the Lincoln Park Conservatory this weekend…It was the perfect backdrop for this adorable dress! If you’re looking for a dress that perfectly embodies the season and has some flair, put this one in your Gwynnie Bee closet for sure!
